I worked in a community pharmacy every morning for thirty days. During the afternoon I got to know the city, monuments and culture.

This association's SEP could organize a touristic and cultural program, because in this matter I didn't feel very supported.

How did you prepare for your traineeship?
Did you arrange a travel and/or malpractice insurance before your exchange?

Yes, I arranged the travel and the health insurance myself.

 - Arrival and reception -
Write something about getting there , about meeting the local students and finding the working place and the place where you stayed.
In this matter I was very pleased. The local students were very nice and helpfull, we exchanged contacts when I was still in Portugal and communication was constant.

 - The place -
What was your accommodation like?
The residence was comfortable and everyone was nice, but the room wasn't clean very often and there were any conditions to cook.

 - The work -
Explain in detail what you did? What was the work like?
I did everything since the administrative part to the attendance of patients. I had the opportunity to make magistral formules, glicemia tests and determine blood pressure.

 - What did you learn? -
What did you learn?
I learned how a community pharmacy works. I also learned how we should interact with patients and answer their questions.

 - Other visits or activities -
What else did you do during your stay? Which places did you visit?
Was it organised by the SEP committee or did you do it on your own?
Did you have to pay for these to the SEP committee? How much? Where there some other unexpected costs?

During my staying I got to know the city and the suburbs. I visited museums, monuments and learned a little about the culture. I financed it all.

 - Recommendations/final conclusion -
Do you have any recommendations for other students? What is your final conclusion?
All the experience in SEP was very positive. I think I was very well received and loved the work in the pharmacy. The worst thing of all was the fact that I wasn't aloud to cook and I didn't get free or even student price meals.
