Not at all Yes I am very

Would you advise other students to apply for this association's SEP?
Not at all Yes definitely

Do you have any suggestions how this association's SEP could be improved?
I really enjoyed this experience, but I think that each contact person should organise more activities outside and spend more time with the students that are in a foreign country and probably don't know the city. I also would like to suggest more group activities all together.

 - Preparation -
How did you prepare for your traineeship?
Did you arrange a travel and/or malpractice insurance before your exchange?

I didn't prepare at all. I phoned to the pharmacist asking what I should study and he said that it would be better if I could work without a special preparation. I made an health insurance.

 - Arrival and reception -
Write something about getting there , about meeting the local students and finding the working place and the place where you stayed.
It was a really nice surprise to meet new people with different cultures and personalities. The city was wonderful; the people at the pharmacy were lovely. The pharmacist was a very intelligent person and was always able to teach me. I found in my colleagues a really nice work team.

 - The place -
What was your accommodation like?
It was not bad at all, but I think it would be better if we could have a kitchen to eat even paying or a place where we could prepare our food, because there weren't cheap places to eat around the residence.

 - The work -
Explain in detail what you did? What was the work like?
-I made magistral formulations (emulsions, solutions and creams) -Learnt about homeopathy and what to recommend in each situation. It was useful because in my country this science is not very accredited. -Learnt about orthopaedic equipment. -Sold and recommended the right medicines when asked. -worked with the computer finding out which medicines needed to be ordered and checking the ones that arrived. -Did health cares like measuring pressure and glucose in blood.

 - What did you learn? -
What did you learn?
I learnt not just how to work with drugs, but also how to work in a team. I sharpened all my knowledge in different areas. Now I feel more confidant doing a magistral preparation or talking with patients. I learnt more about giving advices to people with diabetes or HT. I also increased my knowledge in homeopathy that is not a very popular field in Portugal.

 - Other visits or activities -
What else did you do during your stay? Which places did you visit?
Was it organised by the SEP committee or did you do it on your own?
Did you have to pay for these to the SEP committee? How much? Where there some other unexpected costs?

I tried to spend most of the time visiting the historical places like : "Sagrada Familia, Museu Picasso, Fundacion Juan Miró, Museu Dali, La Catedral,Las Ramblas, Casa Batló, Casa de Gaudi, Plaça Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia, ....", and the rest of the city. The Olympic city is a wonderful place to rest after a hard working day. Montjuic is the best place to visit after dinner. Sep committee did not organise anything. I had to visit everything on my own.

 - Recommendations/final conclusion -
Do you have any recommendations for other students? What is your final conclusion?
I recommend everybody to try to be selected. Participating in this program is very good not just in professional terms, but also in personal field. It is a great opportunity to meet new people and be in contact with other cultures and share experiences.
