I worked in a pharmacy. I helped there and got a lot of experiences. I wanted to see a new country and recognize the culture. I tried to go outside and meet new people after my work.

I felt so happy during my stay in foreign country. It was perfecet. I was content with my stay.

 - Preparation -
How did you prepare for your traineeship?
Did you arrange a travel and/or malpractice insurance before your exchange?

I tried to get some information about the country. I learned about our pharmaceutical system in Slovakia, because I wanted to have a knowledges, which could I compare. I arranged travel insurance by myself.

 - Arrival and reception -
Write something about getting there , about meeting the local students and finding the working place and the place where you stayed.
One Pharmaceutical student picked me up from the airport and helped me to find my residence in the downtown.I spent some nice days with her in the city, she showed me nice places where to go. I started to work on the other day, after I arrived.I found the pharmacy by myself with the map. I took a bus. I learned all the time in the pharmacy. There were a lot of nice people around me and helped me with everything. They explained me a lot about how to work there.

 - The place -
What was your accommodation like?
I lived in the residence, in a room for one person. I had one bed, table and wardrobe. There was a kitchen with a fridge on my floor. I used toilets for girls for one floor. There was a sitting room for everyone with TV on the other floor.

 - The work -
Explain in detail what you did? What was the work like?
I worked about 4 hours a day. My host in pharmacy explained me everything about the work. I prepared drugs from prescriptions, I learned how to work with computer programm, I prepared creams. I prepared new goods. I learned about the drugs from Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and specialties. I asked about Pharmaceutical system in Canada. I learned how to cach.Sometimes I answered the phone,but I was affraid because of my english.

 - What did you learn? -
What did you learn?
I learned about pharmaceutical work and got a lot of knowledges from pharmaceutical system in Canada. I was in contact with patients and the pharmacist. My host helped me with everything and I tried to leard as much as I was possible.

 - Other visits or activities -
What else did you do during your stay? Which places did you visit?
Was it organised by the SEP committee or did you do it on your own?
Did you have to pay for these to the SEP committee? How much? Where there some other unexpected costs?

I visited museums and monuments in Ottawa. I rollerbladed near the Ottawa river. I swam in the river. I was hikihn in the mountains. I did it all by myself. I needed to pay for everything. The museums cot about 3 (canadian)dollars for students, I travelled with bus, it was about 2 dollars for 1 hour by bus.

 - Recommendations/final conclusion -
Do you have any recommendations for other students? What is your final conclusion?
I spent nice time in Canada. I was so surpriced because I met a lot of nice friends. I liked the city. I liked my work very much. It is so nice experience. I would like to spent my holiday in foreign country next year,too. I advice everyone to try, because it is unforgotten experience.
