Would you advise other students to apply for this association's SEP?
Not at all Yes definitely

I think that more students should get opportunity to take part in SEP, because it’s great experience.Maybe the way for that is to involve more student in organisation ,to make things bigger.

 - Preparation -
How did you prepare for your traineeship?
Did you arrange a travel and/or malpractice insurance before your exchange?

I didn’t make any special preparations for my traineeship. I had to arrange my travel because I need that arrangement for getting visa .Also I had to have medical insurance.

 - Arrival and reception -
Write something about getting there , about meeting the local students and finding the working place and the place where you stayed.
I traveled to Spain by plane. There were two girls, students, who waited for us at the airport. We could ask them everything we wanted to know about our accommodation, transport, pharmacies etc. They took us to our residence ,gave us the maps of the city and metro lines. Day after our arrival they showed us the way to our pharmacies and introduce us to employer. After that we were on our own to the end of our stay.

 - The place -
What was your accommodation like?
I was accommodated in students residence. It is very nice place in good neighbourhood .The room was large, comfortable and very clean ,but we have shared bathroom and didn’t have kitchen or fridge. We didn’t have provided meals and that was rather big problem, but that was also only problem. Atmosphere was very friendly and familiar there. In residence were accommodated medical and pharmaceutical student from all over the world and we had great time together. There were TV room, pool, table tennis, tennis court, basketball, football. Metro and bus station were near the residence and it wasn’t problem to get to the centre city and to the pharmacy where I worked.

 - The work -
Explain in detail what you did? What was the work like?
I took part in every activity in pharmacy : I helped my pharmacist to receive and store drugs, to work with patients and to do administrative work.

 - What did you learn? -
What did you learn?
I learned about organisation of health care in Spain, about organisation of work in community pharmacies , what they provide for their patients. I found that pharmacies in Serbia and in Spain are quite similar. There are some differences ,for example: they provide for their patients some blood analyses, blood pressure measuring etc, what is not common in Serbian pharmacies.

 - Other visits or activities -
What else did you do during your stay? Which places did you visit?
Was it organised by the SEP committee or did you do it on your own?
Did you have to pay for these to the SEP committee? How much? Where there some other unexpected costs?

I did a lot of sightseeing in Barcelona . It is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe with great architecture. There are a lot of museums ,parks, fortress, theatres, monuments and I visited quite a bit of them. Also there are beautiful beaches near the very centre of the town and I often went to swim. I visited few more towns in Catalonia : Gerona, Tarragona, Sitges and holy mountain Montserrat .Most of that activities we ,students, organised on our own and we paid for all costs. Sometimes we got students discount for tickets, sometimes we didn’t. Also the night life in Barcelona is very intensive and we often went to discos and pubs. Our contact persons took us to some characteristic Catalonian places: restaurants and fiesta, which took place on the streets of Barcelona.

 - Recommendations/final conclusion -
Do you have any recommendations for other students? What is your final conclusion?
This SEP was great experience for me in every sense: I had wonderful time in Barcelona I made a lot of new friends from all over the world and learned much about community pharmacy in Spain .I recommend this SEP to every student of pharmacy. If they take part in this program, they will have one unforgettable month in their lives.
