Community pharmacy and research at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Barcelona are easy to arrange, so those two are the main areas provided. We can also provide a very limited number of places in hospital pharmacy.

AEF-UB places students in Barcelona exclusively, as it's the local pharmacy students' association representing pharmacy students from the University of Barcelona. From July to September, August depending on availability.

The accommodation might be on a students' flat. The student usually pays around 150 euros per month and the rest is paid by AEF-UB (around 300 euros). The student has to pay a tuition fee, as a deposit, which is returned at the end of the month.

Possible presence of other exchange student at the same time in the same city (students of pharmacy or other fields)? : We try to place the maximum number of exchange students as possible on the same month, so it's easier to organise a social programme. Professional and cultural visits are included, as well as some other activities during the week and weekend trips.
Language requirements : Spanish is NOT required but recommended.

The deadline to apply is around two months and a half before the exchange. AEF-UB mainly arranges bilateral exchanges, though non-bilateral exchanges are also common. The choice of the exchange student is made by the SEO.
Special remarks : The weather is warm and sunny on the Mediterranean coast! We'll treat you with Spanish specialities and you'll get to know the regional traditions! The Spanish character is opened and friendly! Come to Barcelona! You'll have the time of your life!
