June-September. In our summer vacation, July and August, are most students placed. Cities: when a pharmacist responds to our request lettre, we can place a student there. So depending on who responding, we place students all over the country.

The student will be hosted at the pharmacist or at a student's home. The student will not have to pay for staying at a host family.

The SEP in The Netherlands is a non paid job. When the host family invites the student for an excursion or other activity, the host and the student will have to discuss the finances.
Social events? Possible presence of other exchange student at the same time in the same city (students of pharmacy or other fields)? : In the past students got placed all over the country. I'm trying to place the students in 2008 in university cities, for more student activity. Our international committee will organise some nice events.
Language requirements : English. Most of the Dutch people speak English well. To have a nice time and to able to understand what's going on, the student should speak good English.

The deadline to apply is december. At least 50% is bilateral. The SEO decides which students will be excepted for the SEP.
Special remarks : The Netherlands is a small country with a great variety of nature and cultures between different areas in the country. It's small enough to discover many beautiful things in a short time.
