Total number of places per year? (approximately) : Approximately 42-45 students a year, that breaks down in the following manner: - ~20 students in each July&August(=40 students) -1-3 places throughout the year (February to May)
Area possibilities?
- Community/ hospital/ industry/ research in a university/ other?
- Can you describe the work in more detail? :
1. Community pharmacies -students applying for a community pharm. practice will see every aspect of compounding, they will be introduced to the materials and tools we use in pharmacies 2. Hospital pharmacies -in 2008 we had only a few places unfortunately due to some changes that have been implemented in Hungarian pharmaceutical system. However upon specific and reasonable request, we will try to make it happen for you. 3. Industry -this specifically means the pharmacy of the university: a semi-industrial place where students are working with our professors
Length of training periods? (usually 1-3 months) : 1-3 months, but we place students only for 1 month in the summer period (July, August).

Summer period is the most popular time to go for exchange: July, August But we place students for different periods if possible. Available cities: Budapest, our capitol.

Social events? Possible presence of other exchange student at the same time in the same city (students of pharmacy or other fields)? : ALL exchange students are accommodated in the same hostel in Budapest. Budapest students are accommodated where the medical exchange students on IFMSA SCOPE are staying at too. This means that a usual crowd of about 110-120 exchange students gathers at parties and social events. We organize welcome/international party, trips to different parts of the country; we take students to clubs, celebrate birthdays etc., everything together with the meds, except the practice itself
